Care Guide
Welcome to the ZEE family! We want you to love your new clothes for a long, long time. Following these simple steps will keep your casual wear looking great, feeling soft, and ready for any occasion.
The Golden Rule: Read the Label 🧺
Before anything else, always check the care tag inside your garment. It’s the specific guide for that exact item and has the best instructions to follow.
1) Washing: Keep It Clean & Fresh
-
Sort Your Colors: Separate into three piles—whites, darks (blacks, navys, dark greys), and brights (reds, blues, greens)—to prevent color transfer.
-
Turn It Inside Out: Especially for graphic tees, dark denim, and printed items to protect designs and reduce fading.
-
Choose the Right Temperature:
-
Cold Water (30°C / 86°F or less): Best for darks, bright colors, and delicate items; helps prevent fading and shrinking.
-
Warm Water (40°C / 104°F): Good for whites and light colors that need a deeper clean.
-
Hot Water: Use sparingly, only for very sturdy whites (like socks or undershirts) when heavily soiled.
-
Go Easy on Detergent: Too much soap can leave residue and make fabrics stiff. A normal amount is enough.
2) Drying: The Gentle Way
-
Air Dry When Possible: Hang shirts on hangers or lay sweaters flat on a towel. This saves energy and prevents shrinking.
-
If You Use a Tumble Dryer:
- Choose a low or medium heat setting—high heat causes shrinking and damage.
-
Don’t over-dry: Remove clothes while slightly damp to reduce wrinkles.
-
Clean the lint filter after every load.
3) Ironing & Steaming: The Finishing Touch
-
Check the Label (again): Use the correct iron setting (low/medium/high) indicated by the iron icon.
-
Iron Inside Out: Protects prints and prevents shine on dark fabrics.
-
Try a Steamer: A handheld steamer is gentle and quick for most fabrics.
4) Smart Storage
-
Fold or Hang:
-
Fold: T-shirts, sweaters, jeans (prevents shoulder bumps).
-
Hang: Shirts, blouses, jackets, trousers.
-
Give Them Space: Don’t crowd your closet—airflow helps clothes stay fresh and wrinkle-free.
Quick Tips for ZEE Favorites ⭐
-
Denim (Jeans & Jackets): Wash inside out in cold water and as infrequently as possible to preserve color and fit.
-
Cotton Tees & Hoodies: Wash in cold or warm water. Avoid high dryer heat—cotton can shrink.
-
Sweaters & Knits: Hand wash cold or use “Delicate” cycle. Never hang a wet sweater; lay flat to dry.
By following these simple tips, your ZEE pieces will stay a vibrant and comfortable part of your wardrobe.
